After waiting outside in the typically unpleasant Auckland winter chill, the doors were opened and students were taken up in elevators to the giant glass dome on the top floor of the building. Following the customary entrance photos staged underneath an ivy-decorated archway, many guests found the customised candy bar to their liking, stocking up on jellybeans, liquorice and gummy bears before heading off for drinks, more photos, and after a short time, the dance floor.
Awards were given out by Senior Management later in the night, with these students being named winners, and sharing a dance with their respective partners to Train's Drops of Jupiter.

The Strathallan Winter Ball was an unforgettable night. The view out over the lights of Auckland City, combined with the abundance of food and high spirits of those present combined to create an amazing atmosphere, which I'm sure this year's seniors will be unable to forget.
