Chris Rawlins
Principal, ACG International School Jakarta
Background
Chris has experience in a broad range of positions in Queensland, Australia which she feels has helped shape her knowledge and skills today as a Principal in Jakarta. She was Acting Principal in her late 20's in small country schools and then worked as a Classroom Management Consultant supporting teachers and Principals with developing modern teaching practices across multiple grade levels. Chris then spent three years as a Curriculum Consultant in Brisbane in servicing the changed Handwriting script and later moved into Special Education. She was moving in and out of leadership positions and finally accepted a full time position as Principal in 1998.
Chris came to Indonesia in 2005 and joined ACG International School Jakarta in October, 2009.
ACG Career
Chris values working with an international organisation such as ACG where she has the support, experience and expertise of other professional educators.
Chris has supported the primary staff through the authorisation process for the Primary Years Programme with the International Baccalaureate Organisation in May, 2010 which was a significant milestone for the school.
This has also been an exciting time for the development and progression of the secondary section of the campus as numbers have steadily increased so that ACG Jakarta can now offer a very competitive secondary programme.
ACG International School Jakarta is embarking on a major building programme which will transform its' facilities into a world class standard within a small and caring campus.
