Background

Larne studied Commerce at The University of Auckland before commencing teaching at Auckland Grammar School where he taught Accounting and Economics. While teaching he was also appointed the position of Senior Housemaster of Tibbs House and coached the 1st XI hockey team. Larne has represented Auckland at senior level in Cross-country and Hockey and has been a New Zealand Hockey trialist.  


ACG Career

In 1997, Larne was appointed to the role of Deputy Principal of ACG Senior College. In April 2001, Larne became Principal of ACG New Zealand International College where he was part of the team that focussed on the development of programmes and services to support international students.

Larne was appointed as Principal of ACG Parnell College (formerly ACG Junior College) in 2005, where he has worked with staff to establish and develop the new ACG campus.
