The English courses offer guaranteed entry into the university foundation programmes taught, which, in turn, offer guaranteed pathways to The University of Auckland and AUT University. Both foundation certificates are accepted by all New Zealand universities and a number of Australian universities.

ACG also operates four schools which offer Preschool, Primary, Middle and Senior School Education as follows:

ACG's Auckland City Campus in 345 Queen Street houses the above schools and programmes. *The campus is in the heart of Auckland, near The University of Auckland and AUT University. The central location means easy access to public transport and a number of nearby accommodation options. The campus is fully equipped with modern air-conditioned classrooms, computer rooms, a student common room, a library and a cafeteria.

* The University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies is also taught at ACG Parnell College.

ACG English School

Study English with ACG and start building your bridge to success. One of New Zealand's leading language schools, ACG English School delivers intensive academic English courses designed to meet the needs of our students. The primary aims are to develop our students' academic language skills and to provide guaranteed pathways to high school, foundation studies and university.

• ACG English School runs year-round and offers weekly intakes
• ACG English School offers Intensive Academic English and Intensive IELTS Preparation courses
• Successful ACG English School students have guaranteed entry to The University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies, the AUT International Foundation Certificate and all ACG Schools
• The minimum age is 12
• Courses consist of 24 hours of lessons per week
• In addition to lessons, free tutorials and coaching sessions are available to support learning
• The tutor system ensures that each student is given close individual attention
• All teachers are fully qualified and registered with the New Zealand Teachers' Council, which means they are approved by the Council to teach in New Zealand Schools
• Reports are issued every six weeks
• An ACG English School Record of Learning Certificate is awarded at each Academic level to all students who successfully meet course completion requirements

ACG New Zealand International College

The University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies has been taught exclusively by ACG New Zealand International College since 1999. To date, over 10,000 students have chosen the Certificate in Foundation Studies programme as a pathway to university.

The Certificate of Foundation Studies is designed to develop essential knowledge and skills in four to five academic subjects, providing a pathway towards the chosen degree. English language skills are developed and extended, as well as critical and independent thinking and the use of communication and information technology as a learning tool.

The University of Auckland was established in 1883 and is New Zealand's leading university. It is an international centre of learning and academic excellence. Over 38,000 students choose to study at the University each year, of whom over 4,000 are international, from 93 countries.

Graduates from The University of Auckland occupy leading positions in business, law, medicine, politics and the professions, within New Zealand and overseas.

• The University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies takes 8 to 18 months (three to six terms) to complete, depending on the student's academic background and level of English
• There are four starting dates per year, in January, May, July and October
• The curriculum includes core training in English and independent learning skills
• Students select four or five subjects plus English for Academic Purposes (EAP)
• Subjects available include: Accounting, Economics, Calculus, Statistics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Design, Photography, Painting, Music and Geography
• A special course in Study and Information Skills prepares students for study at university level.

ACG Norton College

The AUT International Foundation Certificate has been taught exclusively through ACG Norton College since May 2003. The programme has been designed to prepare international students for entry into AUT's degree programmes by equipping each student with essential subject knowledge, English language training and tertiary study skills.

The AUT International Foundation Certificate is approved and accredited by the New Zealand Vice Chancellors' Committee and is a recognised New Zealand University Entrance qualification. AUT guarantees university entrance to students whose results in the International Foundation Certificate meet the published standards required for the University's degree programmes, and who meet other entry requirements for admission to the University.

• AUT International Foundation Certificate offers guaranteed pathways to AUT University for students who meet published entry requirements
• Since 2003, 95% of students who completed the AUT International Foundation Certificate have received confirmed offers of place at AUT University
• The AUT International Foundation Certificate is recognised by all New Zealand universities
• AUT International Foundation Certificate takes 7 to 15 months (two, three or four trimesters of 12 to 14 weeks each)
• There are three starting dates per year: in January, May and August
• AUT International Foundation Certificate provides focus in specialist areas from the start of the programme
• The curriculum incorporates all the latest developments in its specialist areas
• The curriculum includes core training in English and independent learning skills
