Kindergarten and Primary School

ACG Internaitonal School Jakarta achieved Authorisation status for the Primary Years Curriculum with the IBO in 2010. This guarantees parents that the curriculum offered at ACG Jakarta is authentic and rigorous.

We commence the learning journey in Kindergarten with a strong focus in early childhood education providing a play based programme which develops communication and socialisation skills preparing students for future learning opportunities. From Kindergarten to Primary School, children form conceptions of themselves both in an education and social sense. This time in a child's life is crucial for developing fundamental learning abilities and provides an important basis for future achievement.

At ACG International School Jakarta we promote the value of education and encourage enjoyment and personal achievement in the classroom and beyond. We are fortunate to have an environment that allows us to maximise the individual attention our students receive. This helps them to develop both academically and socially within the wider global community of the School.

The PYP (Primary Years Program) is designed for students aged from 3-12 focusing on total development of the child in a social, cultural, physical and emotional context.

This programme is designed to develop internationally minded people within a prescribed curriculum framework of essential elements; knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes, and action. Each of these are clearly reflected in the Learner Profile which provides students with a reference point to develop life long learning skills.

Middle and Senior Schools

The PYP programme provides a solid foundation for ACG students by preparing them for the challenges they will face as they transition through the Middle and Senior Schools programme. The Learner Profile and Student Attitudes are retained throughout the school as a common framework for all students to internalise and maximise their learning potential.

Quality teaching, individual attention and a great variety of social, cultural and physical learning opportunities provide students with the chance to develop core strengths.

At the Senior level the focus is on preparation for university education. The ACG International School Jakarta offers The University of Cambridge International Examinations. Beginning in Year 10 students undertake a 2 year programme to prepare for the IGCSE examinations and the AS and A level examination in Y12 and 13. University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is one of the world's leading providers of international assessments. CIE currently provides international courses and qualifications in over 150 countries.
