Congratulations ACG Swim Team for success in achieving Second Place in the JASIS Swimming Competition at NJIS on Saturday. ACG was well represented and our students performed brilliantly. We are very proud of you all.

Many thanks to Mr Jaka and Mr Dhani for their preparation of our Swim Team. Special thanks to our supportive parents who braved the Relay Event and represented our school – Haiko, Bill and Adam. Well done Everyone!

The 25th April is an important and serious commemoration for New Zealand, Australian and British citizens to commemorate those who’ve given their lives in various conflicts. ACG laid a wreath at the Commonwealth Cemetery in Menteng and it was wonderful to see so many staff, students and parents of our community attending this memorable event. The Dawn Service is always very stirring and emotional, and we hope it initiates lots of discussion and thought with our students regarding the futileness of conflict and the high human costs in-volved.

Please mark next Thursday or Friday – 2nd & 3rd May, in your Calendar to attend the Yr 6 Exhi-bition in the mornings. Parents are welcome in our new hall from 8.00am and the Introduc-tion will commence at 8.30am by the Yr 6 students. Parents will then move into groups to rotate around the various Primary classes so they can see the progression of PYP throughout Primary. This is a wonderful celebration of learning for the PYP and our Primary students are all looking forward to showing parents their learning pathways.

Primary Teachers have been busy mentoring the Yr 6 students so this is a whole school event.

On Friday 19 April 2013, we celebrated the Kartini’s day, RA Kartini is one of the heroes of Indonesian women who fought for women's equal rights with men. Because of her, Indonesian woman can now freely achieve their goals in their lives now. To appreciate the merits of RA Kartini, our Indonesian nation commemorates Kartini day on 21st of April every year. ACG this year commemorated Kartini Day on the same day with their International Day celebrations.

Bali Marine Conservation Camp was a fun filled educational experience for all participating students. The first day began with an investigation of a local mangrove forest. The lush mangrove forests of Bali have become the destination for comparative studies by experts from various countries. Although the tide was too high for student to safely trek through the mangrove forest, the students gained essential knowledge re-garding how important they are environmentally.
