The class decided that a two day fundraiser would be adequate to raise the needed funds. They organized a 'food fair' where ethnic foods from their various countries would be sold. The second day would be sporting events where students could win prizes for the Soccer Shootout and Water Balloon Toss. Champions Read!Friday, 30 November 2012 11:10BOOK WEEK is quickly approaching. This year ACG's book week will begin on Friday December 7th and end on Friday December 13th with a costume parade celebrating champions found within books. There will be guest story tellers and authors, contests and activities throughout the week. Drs. Suyadi (Pak Raden), a well know Indonesian story teller, will open our book week during assembly by sharing some traditional Indonesian stories. An announcement will be made about a competition that will take place over the course of the week. Two authors will also come and present their stories and the process of writing to the students. Mike Brumby will present to the primary students and Marcellino Lefrandt , will present to the secondary students. We also encourage the parents to read at home with their children books about champions and heroes. HELP ACG CELEBRATE LEARNING AND BECOME CHAMPION READERS!! ACG send 18 student (9 boys, and 9 girls) to AIS Swim Meet 2012 held on 17 November 2012. This year there is total of 10 swimming clubs/schools joined and ACG won 2nd Place on the competition. Henri Bemelmans comes to ACG after 12 years at Bandung International School (BIS), where he is currently Head of School. He has a wide range of educational leadership experience and has held positions of responsibility within Information Technology, pastoral, reporting and curriculum. A trained secondary teacher, Henri Bemelmans has taught in the Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Studies at BIS and previously at independent schools in Australia.
