Everyone enjoyed the excitement of the various swimming events and the competitive spirit was mounting! However, the climax of the event definitely came with the Parent/Teacher relay when the competition between the schools quickly moved up a notch. We were very proud of our adult team who came in a close second behind the Netherlands Int School. Well done to our parents and teachers.
Our students were ecstatic when ACG came Second against the six other International Schools competing!! A great effort swimmers – you were terrific! Despite having several swimmers sick on the day we still scooped through finishing just behind AIS, and in front of Bandung International School. We now have our JASIS Swimming Trophy proudly on display in the new Reception.

It was a wonderful School Community effort with ACG Staff and Parents working together to showcase our school and talents. One of the attending Principal's emailed his thoughts of the event: "I'd just like to add my comments in regards to the fabulous job your school did in hosting the JASIS Swimming Carnival! Your staff and parent community were brilliant and really positive – from the fruit kebabs to the announcing and organization of the awards – everything was well organized and you've definitely raised the bar on expectations! Please pass on our thanks to your staff and parent community!"
ACG Jakarta hosted the annual JASIS (Java Association of Small International Schools) Swimming Competition on Saturday 12 May. This was a major event to sponsor which involved coordinating seven of the JASIS schools participating. Students were organized into age level groups which rotated around a variety of entertaining water based activities to cope with the large number of students and their families. It was an excellent opportunity to showcase our new front Administration and Secondary building recently opened as well as launch our new ACG swimming costumes.
