The ACG Jakarta School offers a diverse and dynamic programme of education designed to help students reach personal goals both in the classroom and in their lives. With a strong focus on academic achievement we equip our students with the skills and knowledge to take the next step towards their future. Our highly qualified teachers deliver an innovative curriculum that encourages students to take on creative challenges and think critically.

As with our Primary School programme we remain focused on developing strong literacy and numeracy skills. New technology is an every-day part of the education programme ensuring our students are prepared for the modern working world. Specialist teachers provide IT and graphics classes as well as music and art giving students diverse choices in their individual study programme.

Our teachers are focused on the individual progress of each student and one-on-one attention is a feature of the School. High achievers have the opportunity to take on extension classes.

Years 7 to 11

Enthusiastic and highly skilled teachers ensure that students continue to build on their previous achievements. Classroom time is valued and used effectively. The teaching method ensures individual attention from teachers as well as the opportunity for all to participate fully in interactive class work, such as discussions and debates.

Learning at ACG International School is characterised by enjoyment and discovery. A clear focus on academic work teaches students that nothing of value is achieved without energy, commitment and effort. All students are challenged to set goals for themselves. Extension activities are in place to challenge, accelerate and enrich able students. In the lower secondary school years, the broad-based curriculum provides an excellent base for study at senior secondary level.

Year 9 students sit the international Checkpoint Examinations in Mathematics, English and Science. These examinations give an objective measure of student performance and are internationally benchmarked. A strong focus on language, literature and numeracy is a feature of the School. Well-equipped laboratories provide an ideal setting for stimulating science lessons and humanities subjects enable students to learn more about their world and the events that have shaped it. Information Technology is used extensively in all curriculum areas, while specialist teachers in Art, Music and Physical Education allow students to enjoy experiences that will last a lifetime.
