Rachel Kim

Name of student: Rachel Kim (from Korea)
School: ACG Pathways Campus
Programme: AUT University Certificate in Foundation Studies

I’m doing a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Chinese at AUT University.
I decided to come to New Zealand because learning in an English-speaking environment provides access to more career opportunities in the future. I chose ACG because it is well known for being a great university pathway for international students. The staff and students here are very friendly and I felt really comfortable and happy studying here.  The AUT University Foundation programme helps you to prepare for university. One of the subjects I took was Tertiary Study Skills and it was all about learning how to write academic essays. I really like the lively atmosphere in New Zealand. I have met people from all over the world and Auckland has many international festivals that give you exposure to other cultures. After completing the bachelor degree I’m planning to do a graduate diploma in early childhood education.

Yoshinori

Japanese student Yoshinori Ban has had a memorable year at ACG Yoobee School of Design. He has already landed a job in New Zealand as a graphic designer for Kiwise Digital Marketing Agency and there are undoubtedly more great things to come.

Yang Ding

Name of student: Yang Ding (from China)
School: NZMA
Programme: Diploma in Professional Cookery

The best part about studying at NZMA is the professional cookery knowledge and skills I have gained. The facilities are new and we have a big kitchen to learn in. There are lots of opportunities to gain practical experience. I love cooking and I want to learn more about the art of food. Eventually I plan to open my own restaurant in New Zealand or back home in China.

Gurwinder Singh

Name of student: Gurwinder Singh (from India)
School: New Zealand Career College (NZCC)
Programme: Diploma in Advanced Business Management Level 6

I came to New Zealand Career College because it’s one of the top tertiary colleges in Auckland, with excellent teachers, a supporting and caring environment and professional internships. You are very lucky if you get the opportunity to come to New Zealand. It’s a peaceful environment and the people are friendly and hospitable. New Zealand has changed me a lot. I’ve learned so much while I’ve been here like how to manage myself. I’ve grown. I’ve learned so many things.
