Moving to Vietnam
ACG International School Vietnam is working with a number of agencies and services in Ho Chi Minh City with the aim of providing adequate information and guidance to families who are new to or are in the process of relocating to Vietnam. Below are general tips from our partners in response to common queries. We hope you will find these useful.
1. Housing: Where do I start if I’m looking for housing?
Housing: There are many agents in Vietnam with an extensive list of housing for rent or sale. Agents do not charge tenants any fees for their services because they normally receive a commission from landlords. There are many types of accommodation available in Vietnam, from serviced apartments to un-furnished family villas. One reputable estate agent in Ho Chi Minh City is Vinarentals
2. Health care: What kind of health care is available for foreigners in Vietnam?
Health care: In general, the foreigner in Vietnam can be well cared for due to the presence of international clinics like S.O.S and Family Medical Practice. General healthcare, paediatrics, dental and much more can be found in the major cities and all are staffed by highly qualified international doctors with modern, reliable equipment. Large foreign hospitals are not as common yet but highly respected hospitals are nearby in Thailand and Singapore in case of a major emergency.
