My name is Mai Tsuno. I am from Japan. I came to ACG New Zealand International College after I graduated my high school and I am 18 years old now. I have been studying a Intensive Academic English Program for about 6 weeks and I am going to go to The University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation after I finish my English course.

Firstly, there are the Core Module class and IELTS class in Intensive Academic English program. We practice listening module, reading module, speaking module and writing module in each class. We always learn new topics such as endangered animals and fashion and finally write an essay about it. I think this lesson is helpful for IELTS exam because I can acquire useful knowledge and useful words for IELTS. In addition, my teacher check my essay carefully and gives me advice every time. That is why my essay is getting better than before.

In my opinion, teachers in ACG are all kindly and eagerness. That's why I like the teaching atmosphere. In addition, fortunately, there is no Japanese in my class. This is because it improves my speaking and I enjoy realizing the different cultures and life styles through talking with these students. I can also learn New Zealand culture from my home stay family; such as traditional food, popular sports, music and so on. I think there are also other advantages to live in my home stay. I can have a balanced diet everyday. In addition, talking with home stay family is good way to build up my vocabulary and improve my speaking. Moreover my home stay became most comfortable place for me.

My name is Aidana Zhumadilova and I am 16 years old. I am from Almaty, Kazakhstan.

I have been at ACG English School for about 2 months. I like to study at ACG English School because there is a positive atmosphere and expert teachers. The students are very sociable and I have made friends from South Korea, Israel and China. We communicate with each other and develop our English. Also, I socialise with students from my country and we try to speak only in English.

I like my homestay. They are very kind and they have become as close to me as my relatives. My purpose is to study at ACG English School and then to continue as a high school student at ACG Strathallan College. I am certain that my studies at ACG English School will prepare me well for college.

Hi, I am Rustem and I am fifteen years old. I come from Almaty, Kazakhstan. I have been in New Zealand for a month and a half. I am studying English at the moment.

New Zealand is the best experience of my life. Here you must be more independent than when you live in your own country. You must look after your money, and think about how you can spread your money for studying and for yourself. You must have your own timetable so that you have time for all homework and other things which you want to do in a day.

My school is excellent, and I can improve my English quickly. Teachers in my school are clever and nice people. Teachers teach us all the rules of life, by telling us stories of their life and their mistakes from which we should learn. Teachers know the best ways to teach students. My homestay family is very good and interesting. I talk with them all the time and improve my English. In New Zealand I have made friends with many students from other countries. They are from different cultures but they can still be your good friends.

When I came to New Zealand I was scared, because it was my first trip abroad for study purposes, but now I am very happy and I think that I made the right decision by coming here.

Studying at ACG English School will help me a lot to achieve my goals. I would like to improve my English first and then I hope it will open the doors for other options in my hopefully successful future.

My name is Fatma Al Waheibi. I come from Oman. I am 19 years old. I have been studying in New Zealand for four months.

Currently I am studying an English course at ACG English School, which is located in Auckland City. Auckland is the biggest city in New Zealand with a population of about 1.4 million. Winter in Auckland is quite cold; however, summer is quite warm. This city has a lot of beautiful beaches. I am currently living with a homestay family. Living with a homestay has improved my English speaking skills since the first months I was in New Zealand. Also people here are really helpful, kind and friendly. They like foreigners and are ready to help them at any time. Therefore, it is quite safe to study and live here.

I enjoy studying at ACG English School. The teachers understand us very well and they are very good at communicating with international students. They do their best to help us improve our language skills.

There are students from different nationalities at ACG English School; Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Russians and many others.

Finally, I would like to say that it is great to study here in New Zealand.

Hello! My name is Thaneeya. I'm from Thailand. I graduated from Thammasat University in Bangkok and I plan to study Master degree overseas. Now I am studying the ACG English Intensive General Course at ACG English School in Auckland, New Zealand.

I have been studying here for five months. I really enjoy the atmosphere at the school because the teachers and staff are excellent and very helpful.

At ACG English School, students will study in appropriate classes. The first day students have to take a placement test. There are courses available from elementary to advanced ones. In these courses there are progress tests every two weeks. Students can be promoted to a higher level if they get suitable results. I started studying in the intermediate level. My English improved satisfyingly. Now I am studying in the upper intermediate level which is the highest class currently.

I have made friends with students from different nationalities. I have learnt about their cultures and I also enjoy hanging out with local people who have, in terms of Asian people, a different culture.

Homestay is another impressive experience for me. I have been living with my homestay family for five months. I never feel lonely because my homestay mother looks after me very well. She is my counsellor and my teacher as well. I am not only practising English with her she also always helps me to understand native culture and shows me Auckland and other cities.

I never feel disappointed in studying at ACG English School in New Zealand. I believe that I can achieve my studies and that they will lead me to a good future.
