On Saturday 30 March eleven students from ACG City Campus went to visit the open sanctuary on Tiritiri Matangi Island with Mr Hodges. After several last minute lunch purchases from Subway and a relatively calm one hour ferry ride from Auckland, they arrived on the Island and headed north for a guided tour. The ACG Tutor Community Programme got off to a good start on Monday 11 February. “At first I didn’t want to go to Tutor Community meeting,” said Kim Khanghyun, “but I’m glad I went. Attendance and punctuality are also monitored by the tutors, and student welfare needs supported.

Mr Haines took us on a metaphoric journey of selfdiscovery and learning, 'paddling our kayaks' up the mighty Waikato River, meeting the 'rapids' and 'whirlpools' head on, with courage, initiative and creativity.
