About University of Auckland Certificate of Foundation Studies

The University of Auckland was established in 1883 and is New Zealand's leading university. It is an international centre of learning and academic excellence.

Around 36,000 students choose to study at the University each year, of which 5400 are international, from over 90 countries.

This programme has been taught exclusively through Academic Colleges Group (ACG) since February 1999. To date over 4,000 students have chosen the Certificate in Foundation Studies programme as a pathway to university. We have observed that students who come to us through this programme have performed well academically at university level.

The collaboration between The University of Auckland and ACG offers you access to a comprehensive range of world-class qualifications in an excellent learning environment. The University of Auckland Certificate in Foundation Studies is accredited by the New Zealand Vice Chancellors' Committee and is recognised for entry to all New Zealand universities.

Graduates from The University of Auckland occupy leading positions in business, law, medicine, politics and the professions, within New Zealand and overseas.

The University of Auckland guarantees entry to students whose results in the Certificate in Foundation Studies meet the published standards required for each of the University's degree programmes, and who meet other entry requirements for admission to the University.
