The University of Auckland

 

The University of Auckland is New Zealand's top-ranked research university and is situated in the heart of cosmopolitan Auckland. It was established in 1883 and offers a comprehensive range of world-class research-based study programmes.

 

The Times Higher Education Supplement (October 2009) recently ranked the University 61st equal in the world's top universities. The University of Auckland is the only university in New Zealand with membership of Universitas 21. This is an association of major research intensive universities which includes the Universities of British Colombia, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, New South Wales, Queensland and Melbourne.
