Student Leadership

ACG Parnell is focused on developing leadership skills in all our students.

There are many opportunities for students to experience leadership roles whilst at ACG Parnell College. Class representatives from each Middle School (Years 7 to 10) class comprise the highly successful Student Council. They meet with the Principal on a regular basis and actively contribute in many aspects of school life, including but not restricted to:

  • Organising school socials and lunchtime activities
  • Publicising and running charity fundraisers (mufti days)
  • Community service, including child sponsorship of Yurika
  • Ball monitors for the gymnasium during breaks
  • Open Day ambassadors

A team of School Prefects are selected from students in Years 12 and 13. The Head Prefects in 2012 are Kate Farmer and Perry Wilton. The Deputy Head Prefects are Sivani Surendran and Hayden Razzell. The Prefects co-ordinate a number of committees and play a pivotal role in organising activities such as:

  • World Vision 40 Hour Famine
  • Peer tutoring system
  • Open Day ambassadors
  • School Ball
  • Supporting major College occasions
