Focus for 2012

ACG Senior College is committed to a providing a quality education for all students. Each year, the College has an educational focus as a means of ensuring that intellectual endeavour is fostered and that there is a definite pathway for achieving excellence.

In the past two years, the College has been focussed on Differentiation and strategies have been in place to cater for the high achievers as well as all others, especially those who find the intellectual work challenging. Assessment for Learning is now embedded in the day to day life of the College and provides a framework through which students can access higher grades.

2012 is the year where we consolidate all work conducted in Differentiation in order to provide students with the necessary pathway to achieve at their level and, in many cases, beyond what they expected. We would be happy to discuss our strategy on Differentiation with prospective parents and students.

Not all students are gifted, in fact very few, but all students given the right pathway can achieve. That is our challenge and very much a part of the focus for 2012 – catering for all learners.
