On Thursday the 5th April, the final day of term one at ACG Strathallan, a special morning tea took place for a group of exceptional students. Each of the students who attended had received a Principal's Award for term one, which they had been awarded at a school assembly.
The students, from years 6 to 13, enjoyed hot cross buns and refreshments with their principal, Mr Kirkham.
During the morning tea, Mr Kirkham encouraged students to reflect on their efforts in 2012 thus far, and what they felt proud of. A number of students felt proud of their excellent academic results, with many scoring between 90% and 100% in their subject tests, or improving their results significantly. Isabella McLeish felt proud that she had improved her Biology mark by 20%, while Simone Hill-Rennie was proud of her 1st place result in the college cross-country.
Other students took pride in their success in extra-curricular achievements, such as Michaela Egbers, who felt proud of her role in this year's Belle of the Ball, and Ella Palsenbarg, who felt proud of being placed in the top Strathallan netball team this year.
Overall, the students who attended the occasion enjoyed a pleasant morning tea, and left feeling inspired to continue their great achievements for the remainder of 2012.
