Chinese Fans Dance

More than 225 Year 5 and 6 students from three different schools in South Auckland met at our school today to take part in a Chinese cultural day.

ACG Strathallan hosted the third annual ACG Maths Olympics last week, with more than 100 students from all five schools competing to take out top school prize.

SOS Fireworks



Fireworks night became Fright night as students, parents, staff and members of the local community turned up to this annual event dressed to theme in ghoulish Halloween costume. Once again, we were treated to a spectacular pyrotechnic display and a great evening of events and entertainment thanks to the efforts of the SOS and student volunteers.

In the Easter break, a group of 28 students who study Spanish, embarked on the journey of a lifetime. Harriet Grayson and Ronja Gallagher share their experience of this amazing trip to Spain and its wonderful history and culture.

Magic was in the air at ACG Strathallan as designers and models celebrated this year’s World of Wearable Arts. With fairies, butterflies and mystical tales were just some of the inspiration behind the stunning creations, all linked to the theme of ‘magic’.

Grandparents Day



The ACG Strathallan Preschool loves to celebrate family. In order to do that this term, they invited the children’s families to a delicious morning tea and delightful concert.

Belle of the Ball


The annual Strathallan Belle of the Ball event was held last night and I was lucky enough to be backstage, modelling two dresses myself. We had a massive range of dresses from many different stores all over Auckland, including Astra Bridal in Takapuna, and Girl Meets Gown in Pukekohe.

Valentines Day Roses

In celebration of Valentine’s Day students from ACG Strathallan have been raising money for the Heart Foundation this week by selling roses, notes and chocolates.



The Year Four students spent a night at Kelly Tarlton’s. They met at school just after 5pm with their sleeping bags and snacks, hopped on the bus and were off.
