Time Jayna Patel

Our students have had a raft of successes at the recent Young Designer Awards, a major national design competition for secondary and intermediate schools students.

We came away from the prestigious event with seven top-two results, thanks to creative projects ranging from boy-racer themed photography to a living table for an inner-city apartment.

Strathallan Top Maths Students

Our students who have performed highly in Mathematical Competitions throughout the year were recognised in a special prize giving ceremony yesterday.

Strathallan Mathex Win

Our Year 9 and 10 students have beaten ten other local schools to win the Counties Manukau Mathex Competition held at Alfriston College this week.

Chris Joon Ha Ahn is hardwired to be a Physicist.

A top Year 12 student at ACG Strathallan in South Auckland says Physics is his favourite subject because it is the base of all sciences. “Everything in the world is Physics,” he explains. “Even if I’m studying Biology, I’m relating it to Physics. For example, if I’m studying DNA, I see that it’s about codes, and I start to think about whether we could reproduce those codes using a computer, which then becomes Physics. That’s how my brain works.”
