Back to School

Wednesday, 13 February 2013 08:57

Start4The holidays have come to an end and school has started! The best part about starting school is finding out which teachers are teaching our subjects. We have been excited to choose new and exciting lunch time clubs. So far we have started chess, lunch time sports, music groups, an art mural group and of course the school blog! We have had in class tennis and cricket coaching, which has been teaching us new skills and giving us the chance to try something new.

Ukulele Group

Ukulele-2Ukulele is an awesome music group to join as one of the lunch time activities for the Year 5 and 6s, as the teachers are really kind and you can have lots of fun with your friends. You either can buy a ukulele or ask the fabulous music teacher Mrs Leggett if you could borrow one. We meet and have lunch together before practicing.

Jump Jam on a Friday afternoon

Friday, 17 August 2012 15:56

Jump Jam3What a way to finish the week for the Year 5 and 6s, with a good old aerobic dance in the hall. Having last week taken part in the school cross country and next week starting a series of swimming lessons, what better to do than have a good dance with Mrs Duffin and Mrs Garratt. Mr Oakey even had a go.

PrEP DAY 1
Well what a start to our PrEP enterprise year. We've blueprinted three awesome designs which we think are going to sell really well. Josh A. designed our logo and it looks quite impressive and sophisticated. I think all positions suit each person really well. Our team includes William as CEO, Jayden as assistant CEO, Liam – (me) as accountant, Dylan as the purchaser, Joshua as marketer and Tom as assistant designer with Liam being assistant buyer.

The Gardening Club

Wednesday, 15 August 2012 10:22

Garden Club3The gardening club at Stathallan was started in the year 2010, by Mrs Vorster and has been carried on by Mrs Smith and now Mrs Mitchell. A team of children volunteered to help grow plants and some raised beds were made using wood decorated with mosaics. They were even set up so that the beds were watered straight from the tap. The children also water the plants whenever the soil is dry.
