Talent Quest 2012
Move over New Zealand's Got Talent. The Primary school holds a Talent Quest every year to show off the fantastic range of skills and talents of the pupils. There were four heats this year with the best ones going through to the final. The performances that got into the finals were: Indy Rock, Scarlet, Isabella, Cassidy, Emma and Darcy's Kiddie Show, The Dynamiters, Ethan, and Elizabeth.
Before the show Scarlet felt nervous but exited but was confident she would win. She thought right. She was the winner of the Junior Section. Her excellent gymnastics wowed the audience and the judges Mrs Shapcott, Mrs Wymer and Mrs Leggett.
In the senior section there was Indy Rock and Elizabeth who tied with first place. Elizabeth sang and played the piano whilst the two boys, Liam and William performed on guitar and drums a Feelers number called 'Stand up'.
The standard this year was much higher than last year with a great deal more variety and they all really looked polished. When asked, one teacher said they were glad they were not one of the judges as the choice must have been really quite hard.
Although there were two boys as joint winners we would like to see more boys taking part next year. So 'come on boys' start practicing.
