Student support

Our comprehensive pastoral care system enables all staff to be aware of student's individual needs and to address these as appropriate.

Children set goals each term and work towards achieving these. Parents are involved in this process also, especially during the Introductory Interview held prior to the commencement of the new school year. The caring and nurturing environment enables children to feel safe, which enhances their learning opportunities. Staff are available before and after school to meet with parents whenever this is needed. A Student Diary at Years 4 to 6 is a useful communication tool for teachers and parents. Parents are given staff email addresses and this is used as another means of communication.

In addition to the Principal of Junior School, teachers and students are supported by two deans over welfare and discipline issues at Years 0 to 3 and Years 4 to 6.
