1. What is the regular class size?

 

Class sizes vary (maximum of 20 to 28) depending on the Year Level.

 

2. What nationality are the teachers?

 

We currently employ teachers from New Zealand, Australia, United States of America, United Kingdom, and Europe. Our specialist language teachers are from China and Vietnam. Please click here to see our teachers' profiles.

 

3. What nationality are the teacher assistants?

 

Our teacher assistants are Vietnamese.

 

4. What are the nationalities of students taught at ACG School?

 

ACG International School welcomes students of all nationalities and currently we have students from 30 different countries. Our School is committed to meeting the needs of fluent English speakers who need to progress without hindrance and to separately meet the needs of students who require English language support.

 

5. Which students should be tested for English ability?

 

Any student whose first language is not English will be required to undergo an Academic Placement Test.

 

6. How much does it cost for English language support?

 

English language support, if required, is 58,300,000 VND per year.

 

7. Which curricula is ACG International School teaching?

 

ACG follows the International Baccalaureate programme at primary level and the University of Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme in the Middle School leading to the University of Cambridge IGCSE, AS and A Level qualifications in the Senior School. These are all very well acknowledged and accepted programmes worldwide. The School is also working towards offering the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at the Senior School level.

 

8. Do I have to buy stationary and textbooks for my son / daughter?

 

All students receive a 'stationary kit' at post enrolment. Students in the Secondary School are required to purchase textbooks once their classes have been finalised.

 

9. Where can I buy these?

 

Middle and Senior School students are able to purchase their text books from the ACG School Shop.

 

10. Do you have a library and computer lab?

 

Yes we do. Our campus has state-of-the-art facilities, including a library, auditorium, gymnasium, cafeteria, technology, art, design, music, computer and science labs.

 

We have air conditioning and a Wi-Fi Network Campus wide. Our spacious landscaped grounds include a swimming pool, football field and play areas.

 

11. Who prepares the food at the cafeteria?

 

Food services in the School Cafeteria are provided by an experienced and professional team. ACG International School will provide a set lunch for students on campus. For Primary students lunches and snacks are included with fees.

 

Middle and Senior School students have the option of purchasing a set lunch, or choosing other nutritious meals from the menu. We encourage parents to provide nutritious meals for their son/daughter. We discourage junk food. Candy, chewing gum and fizzy drinks are not permitted.

 

12. What After School and Saturday Morning Programmes do you offer?

 

ACG offers a comprehensive co-curricular activities programme. Some of these activities include; English Language Classes, music tuition, sporting and cultural opportunities, such as football, swimming and dance.

13/14. Which routes are covered by your school buses? What is the cost? 

Route A:

Pick up and drop off points in District 2 and in Ward 26, Ward 27 Binh Thanh will incur a fee of: 20,140,000 VND per student per Academic Year.

 

Route B:

Pick up and drop off points in District 1, 3, 7, 9, Thu Duc and the remaining wards of Binh Thanh District will incur a fee of: 28,620,000 VND per student per Academic Year.

 

Route C:

Pick up and drop off points from and to all other districts of Ho Chi Minh city will incur a fee of: 31,164,000 VND per student per Academic Year  

 

15. Are students supervised on buses?

 

Every bus has an assistant as well as the bus driver. They are responsible for ensuring students ride, get on and get off the buses safely.

16. Will buses travel later if students are involved in afternoon activities?

 

The regular afternoon departure time is approximately 3:00 p.m. Students who choose to participate in the After School Activities Programme will be placed on the late bus run that departs at approximately 4:00 p.m. The late bus run only operates for After School Activities Programme participants.
