Three months ago, ACG International School Vietnam’s marketing department interviewed Bui Xuan Quang as one of our top students to celebrate his exceptional IGCSE examination results. Today, we received marvelous news that Quang has been awarded a scholarship to study at Florida Institute of Technology.

Florida Institute of Technology is ranked in Tier One in US News and World Report and there are three astronauts on faculty. The College has the largest telescope on the southeastern coast.  The Harris Institute for Assured Information opened which is an exciting addition for their computer students interested in security issues and has recently been named a national center for security assuredness.  The Autism Treatment Center is open and one of the first of its kind in the USA.  The pilots and aviation majors are enjoying the new 1.5 million dollar facility and we have added an option for helicopter flight training.  Graduates from Florida Tech last year earned the highest starting salaries of ALL university graduates in the state of Florida with an average starting salary of over $55000 per year.

Quang’s mother was overjoyed about the news: “We are extremely happy about this news. Quang has always had a passion for computers and technology, so this will help him follow his dreams. It will be four long years away from Quang, but thanks to SKYPE we will always try and be there for him. I also wish to thank ACG International School Vietnam for all the support and guidance the school has provided in shaping his future.”

Beaming with pride, Head of Secondary School, Mr Shawn Hutchinson commented: “Quang is a quiet achiever, very determined and diligent in everything he does. He has always had clear goals and ambitions and he is driven to succeed. I am extremely delighted that Quang has been accepted into one of the Universities of his choice. Like many of our students who have been offered a place at Universities overseas, I hope that Quang stays in touch via our Alumni.”

Quang has always had ambitions to invent his own app one day. This move will bring him a step closer to his dreams. On behalf of all at ACG International School Vietnam, congratulations Bui Xuan Quang.
