About the seminar:
The world is adopting the IB philosophy and framework in a big way. In the last 5 years, the programmes have grown by 89%. Now, 3,370 schools in 141 countries share the IB approach and deliver the programmes to approximately 1,010,000 students world-wide. Such growth is testimony to the strong foundation and excellence in education that IB Schools provide.
This 60-minute seminar will provide a closer look at the IB framework and how it is delivered at ACG International School. We will find out about the characteristics of an IB student and how the programme offers a strong foundation for success at University. We will also hear parents and students speak about their experiences within an IB World School.

AusCham gets new HCMC chairman

The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam has elected the head of an international school as the new chairman of its Ho Chi Minh City chapter.
John Burns of the ACG International School Vietnam in District 2 was elected following the chamber’s annual general meeting on March 29.
The organization said in a press release that Burns has the advantage of local knowledge after living in the city for five years.
He will take over for a two-year stint from Wayne Bannon, who will remain one of the eight directors.

The Class of 2012 Graduation Ceremony and the Secondary School Student Awards Ceremony will be held to celebrate and recognise academic excellence and student achievement throughout the 2011 / 2012 academic year. The event will be held on Tuesday, 19th June from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the ACG Auditorium. Academic excellence awards will be presented at each Year Level and a number of special awards will also be presented. We expect all Secondary School students to attend this event in full ACG School Uniform. We also expect students to be accompanied by parents on the evening. The event will also include student performances and an exhibition of student work and art and design work that has been developed throughout the year.
