THE 2ND ANNUAL GIN SAIGON CONFERENCEFriday, 19 April 2013 11:00
The Global Issues Network is a worldwide network of students who collaborate locally, regionally, and globally to work on solutions to global issues including deforestation, biodiversity and human rights. Local and regional conferences are held all over the world. Each year, thousands of students engage in GIN projects and support causes such as Wildlife At Risk, Feed The Hungry and Green School.
This was the first year of GIN at ACG. Our members consisted of: Jade (Ja Yung) Moon, Betty (Na Eun) Kim, Jun Sik Moon, Phil Jae Chun and Eddy (Min Seong) Kang. Starting in January, we met weekly with Mr. Ang and Ms. Hunter to learn about GIN and to start our group. We also began preparing for the 2nd annual GIN Saigon Conference which was held at ISHCMC from March 8-10.
Football Tournament WinnersThursday, 28 March 2013 10:56
Last Saturday our under 18 boys competed in the annual HCMC interschool Football Tournament.
I am pleased to report that we won the tournament. It was a great team performance form all the boys involved. We won our 2 group games finishing top of the group, then played against a strong RISS team in the semi final which we won 2-0.
The final was played against the American International school and at half time we were 2-1 down. A wonderful 5 minute spell after the break we had managed to turn the game round and were 5-2 up. The final score was 5-3!
