Senior School Academic Placement Testing
The Oxford Placement Test and specific subject test results will be used to place students in the most appropriate Academic Programme. Subject specific tests include Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics and will only be administered if students have chosen these subjects prior to testing.
- Students normally take FIVE (5) CIE subjects each academic year to work towards either IGCSE, AS or A Level qualifications.
- Students who test between120 – 134 will be placed in IGCSE English as a Second Language.
- Students who test 135+ will be placed in IGCSE Language and Literature.
- Year 12 and 13 who test above 150 will be given the option to take A Level English courses.
All students at ACG International School Vietnam are expected to achieve a D grade or higher in the following subjects by the end of Year 13:
- IGCSE Mathematics
- IGCSE English Literature or English as a Second Language
