ACG Pathways students visited the University of Auckland recently for ‘ACG Day’ – an opportunity to find out everything they need to know about their upcoming tertiary study.
Students chatted with university staff, visited the Business School, and found themselves on the receiving end of a fun quiz from ACG Ambassadors – former Pathways students who are currently studying at the University.
For Commerce student Tina Hou, from China, who hopes one day to be an auditor, it was her third time being an Ambassador for ACG.
“ACG really helped me a lot in meeting new friends, understanding NZ and fitting in the local community. I found my interest in Accounting there. I have never regretted it because I always find what I am learning interesting and useful,” she said.
“And what was taught in the foundation studies made my studies at the University of Auckland much easier.”
ACG Day is one of a series of events held throughout the year to help ACG Pathways students transition to university study.
“We work closely with the University of Auckland throughout the year to ensure our Foundation students are well informed about their undergraduate study options and have every support in making the correct decisions about their future study,” said ACG Education Head of International Marketing, Rebecca Bain.
