ACG Education has been announced as a major partner of The Barfoot & Thompson New Zealand Badminton Open, which takes place from 1-6 May at the North Shore Events Centre.
With both organisations deeply committed to supporting participation and community spirit, the partnership is an excellent fit, said ACG Education Group Marketing Director Ana Maria Rivera.
“We welcome students from many different nationalities across our student body, many of whom are avid followers and players of badminton,” she said. “With so many students participating in the sport in our schools and colleges – and throughout the country – this is our way of giving back to them and supporting the badminton community as a whole.”
Badminton New Zealand Chief Executive Joe Hitchcock said he was excited to be working with an innovative organisation that connects their passion for holistic education with badminton.
“It is fantastic to partner with ACG Education, an organisation committed to unleashing the potential of young people to achieve great outcomes. Badminton New Zealand strives to do the same, through our grassroots to performance programmes and as evident in the excellence on show at our pinnacle event, the Barfoot & Thompson New Zealand Badminton Open. We share a common goal to build inclusive communities that celebrate diversity and success.”
The Barfoot & Thompson New Zealand Badminton Open takes place from 1-6 May May 2018 and features hundreds of high quality international badminton players competing for a share of the $150,000 USD prize money in the BWF Super 300 tournament.
