ACG Schools receive 24 Cambridge Awards

Following one of our best ever years, students at ACG Schools have received 24 Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards from the 2019 examinations – this includes seven Top in the World awards.

The awards identify exceptional achievement and celebrate the highest-performing students in New Zealand and around the world.

Across our four New Zealand schools, our students received:

  • 7 Top in the World
  • 9 Top in New Zealand
  • 7 High Achievement (Top in New Zealand for a smaller subject)
  • Best Across Five (Top IGCSE student in New Zealand – Yuzhi Huang, ACG Parnell College)

Encompassing a variety of subjects, our Top in the World awards highlighted achievement in Mathematics, Geography, History, Music and Physical Education.

Our Top in New Zealand and High Achievement awards were also distributed across a breadth of subjects from traditional academics to Romance languages and the performing arts. Students were recognised in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Literature in English, English Language, Sociology, Spanish and Drama.

ACG Schools CEO, Clarence van der Wel, is delighted with these results and extremely proud of how well ACG students have performed on both the national and international stage.
