ACG Education

Love of technology inspires tertiary study

Alan Nagavkar, 18, from India, graduated from ACG Pathways in 2017. He is now undertaking a Bachelor of Commerce at Victoria University of Wellington, majoring in Information Systems and Marketing.

Alan decided to do a pathways course to learn the concepts and study techniques that he would need for his degree in New Zealand.

“ACG provided me with simple and constructive solutions to excel in my assignments and courses,” he said. “The highlight of my course was definitely the group presentations.”

Alan loves the diversity of cultures – and cuisines – on offer in Wellington. He is equally passionate about his degree, particularly group work and practical applications, and believes technology is the next major field.

“I love to know about technology and the process of its creation and for a job I would like to implement technology for more business profits,” he explains.

Career-wise, he is also interested in working with youth, sharing his own experiences and journey to help and motivate them through their challenges in life.

His advice for a prospective Pathways student?

“A student who has no idea what he or she is getting into should definitely attend a Pathways programme. I would also recommended it for those who have a bit of knowledge about New Zealand and the universities here, to get specific guidance.”
