NZST Job Fairs – where careers can start!

16 October 2018 — Now in its sixth year, the 2018 country wide New Zealand School of Tourism Job Fairs have taken place in Rotorua, Christchurch and Auckland, with Wellington due to take place on 24 October.

To date, we have had over 60 industry partners attend the job fairs, and over 500 interviews with students have taken place.  Our goal is simple – to match the right students with the right industry and take the guess work out of recruitment for industry partners. NZST students choose three industry sectors that they would like to be interviewed by. It’s a five-minute process, and then if a second interview is secured, and further success, students transition seamlessly from their studies into employment.

Industry representatives from airlines to hotels and other tourism operators, including Accor Hotel Group, Millennium Hotels and AJ Hacket Bungy, just to name a few, have been involved. Students also hear from major tourism employers about what they were looking for in an employee.

We see our industry partners as “our better half”. A partnership based on professional respect, mutual alignment and common goals.

For more information about our up and coming Wellington Job Fair, please contact Bronwen Wilkinson Stakeholder Development Manager – [email protected] or mobile 0212523973.
