ACG International Baccalaureate students enjoy another year of outstanding results

Students at ACG Parnell College continue to thrive under the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). Accordingly, in the recent 2021 examinations, our Year 13 cohort received some of the highest scores in the school’s history.

Their exceptional results have seen over one-fifth of students receiving scores of 41 or over (from a maximum of 45 points). Plus, we are thrilled to share the accomplishments of three remarkable IBDP scholars who were each awarded an extraordinary 44 points.

  • Hongchao Fei (Sezarya)
  • Zeqi Chen
  • Nishanth Sangeeth

ACG students also performed extremely well against their international counterparts, with an average score of 35 points across all our diploma recipients.

ACG Parnell College Principal Damian Watson is delighted with these outstanding results and recognises the effort, engagement, and enthusiasm every student has devoted to their studies over the past year. Undeterred by the transitions between physical campus and online learning, our students have clearly flourished under the guidance and support of ACG Parnell College's dedicated group of teachers and education specialists.

ACG Schools CEO Clarence van der Wel agrees, adding, "I am incredibly proud of our highly interactive and successful online learning programme. All campuses were able to provide a full e-curriculum and virtual classroom environment the day after lockdown went into effect. This immediacy ensured that our students were fully prepared for their upcoming assessments and could approach the exam process with confidence and certainty.

“Our excellent 2021 IBDP scores reflect the commitment and hard work of our students, who have been supported throughout the year by the ACG Parnell College teaching team. With such impressive results, I am sure that our IBDP cohorts will follow in the footsteps of our previous graduates who have gone on to study at top universities in New Zealand and around the world.”

About the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme
Offering a challenging pre-university course of study, the IBDP is a broad-based, two-year course that promotes personal and academic achievement. The programme emphasises the importance of independent learning, enabling Year 12 and 13 cohorts to gain confidence in their own abilities while developing effective self-management, study and time management skills. These valuable lessons provide students with a significant head-start over their peers and allow IBDP graduates to easily transition to tertiary study and life beyond the classroom.

IB qualifications are recognised and respected by leading tertiary institutions and employers across the globe, creating countless opportunities for students to succeed on the international stage.
