“The students there are probably the best ones I can ask for, they always encourage me when I feel down, cheer for my successes and help me both inside and outside the school.”
I still remember my first day at ACG Parnell.
My English was pretty poor back then and I was extremely nervous. My first period was English. When I stepped into the classroom the teacher smiled at me, she introduced herself and let everyone else in the classroom introduce themselves to me in an entertaining way as well.
One time when I didn’t know the meaning of a word, she was so patient and even used gestures to help me understand.
So, to me, the best thing about my school is the people there.
My schoolmates are so friendly and supportive, and the teachers are really nice, too – they feel more like friends rather than teachers. When you see them around, you can just start a casual two-minute conversation with them about things – if they are not too busy.
The students there are probably the best ones I can ask for, they always encourage me when I feel down, cheer for my successes and help me both inside and outside the school.
I made lots of close friends and most of my acquaintances wave at me when we see each other in the corridor even though we don’t know each other that well.
I think this kind of intimate student-teacher dynamic and the home-like atmosphere are the most unique things about ACG Parnell College.
