More than 100 people joined Mayor of Wellington City Justin Lester as he officially opened The Campbell Institute’s new campus at the railway building in Wellington.

The event was a combined celebration with Education Wellington and marked Campbell’s 15-year anniversary as a leading English language institute in the capital.

Tim Mahren Brown, General Manager of The Campbell Institute, said the ceremony was a resounding success.

“Alongside the mayor, we welcomed representatives from Victoria University, overseas embassies, alumni and education agents. All agreed that Wellington’s historic railway building makes a wonderful campus for Campbell.”

He said the tide had turned for Wellington as an education destination, and ACG’s commitment to the city showed it was becoming an increasingly important hub.

“It’s no longer the poor cousin. More like the well-off aunty. A little eccentric, with crazy hair, who provides a warm welcome.”
